The Music Tree of PMT M.U.S.I.C. Programme is a team of amateur and budding musicians who share the Dharma and goodwill through music to Motivate, Unite, Soothe, Inspire and Care at Poh Ming Tse Temple since January 2013. Two batches of PMT MUSICians have graduated from the programme under the tutelage of Singaporean Buddhist music producers Bodhicitta Productions before the baton of instruction was passed to a team of Buddhist music producers based in Malaysia, 生命中的朋友 (SMZDPY) in January 2015. Members of Music Tree have gained experience in music composition and creative song-writing in a Music Composition Workshop co-organised by our instructors with the temple in April 2015, and we are presently focusing to improve on vocal skills with an experienced vocal instructor, songwriter, vocalist and producer, Brother Liew Chee Vun, who specialises in the Chinese popular genre.
Having performed quite extensively over the past two years at PMT and upon invitation at other events with a diverse repertoire of different genres, The Music Tree aims to help develop Buddhist music to scale greater heights through a beautiful fusion of Dharma and music, with passion and the aspiration to "M.U.S.I.C." The team is very honoured to perform with Kwan Yin Chan Lin tonight, and we hope to continue to have the opportunity to share the message of faith and practice together in the future.
